Instead of conceding that it is in the best interest of everyone to keep improving Digg, especially for us users, you take the stance that there are always people who will take their place. The truth is, you are right up to a certain point. There are always a 1000 startups looking to take down the giant, but if Digg fails because users migrate to another site without ads, that site will eventually need to start generating funds and will eventually start selling ads as well and the cycle will repeat until VC's will no longer fund these types of sites and they die off or they start charging for content. As my old physics professor used to say, "there is no such thing as a free lunch".I do really want to get a dialogue going on this subject, so can I steer it towards alternate funding schemes for the web.PS.
